PURPOSE STATEMENT

This is a scholarship for New Zealand resident young women aged between 16 and 30 years as at 1 January who are participating in tertiary study in the Hamilton area.  

The scholarship award is $2000, payable in four equal instalments during the academic year. 

• Scholarship recipients need to be confident
• Have excellent time management skills
• Be a general all rounder with a wide range of skills and experiences.

The recipient is expected to fill a role of working member of the Hamilton YWCA management committee.  

• She must be a good representative of the YWCA's philosophy
• and relate well to young women.

Applications open on 1 August and close on 30 September each year

 

The Scholarship Holders for 2009 are: Chelsie Foley and Kathryn Robins

They join 2008 Scholarship holders Rachel Bowley and Charis Brown and other previous Scholarship holders on the Board of Hamilton YWCA in 2009.
