We are pleased to announce that the Historic Places Trust has approved Category II status for Bishopscourt and the chapel.
Both these buildings will be seismically strengthened between 2010 and 2013 to ensure they comply with Buildings Act 2004 standards. Donations to help the YWCA strengthen these heritage buildings are welcome!

Rachel was a member of the World YWCA delegation to the International AIDS Conference in Vienna in July 2010. There she shared the work of the YWCA on sexual and reproductive health and rights and HIV and AIDS with the global AIDS community.

Four life time memberships
Hamilton YWCA held its 67th Annual General Meeting October 22. At the AGM four women were recognised for their many contributions and years of service to the Hamilton YWCA and awarded lifetime memberships.
The new lifetime members are Juanita (Nita) Blackburn, Teresa Coker, Noeline Hussey and Kathy Gleeson.
